Sometimes, when i go to a big event I notice this strange feeling of wat i can only call desparation. there is a shadow neediness in the air- a sense of fear, struggle and grief. I call it the drag. The ‘drag’ is what pulls you under, takes you away from yourself and tumbles you around and around until you no longer know which way is up. When you are in the drag you know about it, because you find yourself clutching at straws, chasing the next buck, changing your mind and reversing decisions (ouch for your money karma) and tearing around working lots but not ever really making progress. ‘The drag’ is literally when you are out of alignement with yourself, and swimming against the tide- it’s exhausting and miserable with no relent!
‘The Flow’ however is an altogether different expereince. in the flow you just need to let go and enjoy the ride. The right people show up at the right time, coincidences abound, you feel safe and happy and the right words seem to flow from you, your energy feels high and you vibrate at a frequency attuned to the breath of life- with joy and inspiration. When you step into the flow you allow your life to float downstream. You make time for God, for Source and you sit in the sun of your own being. you make decisions from your inner knowing and you don’t look back, knowing that you are the powerful creator of your own life and standing up for what you know and believe.
So how do we step in to that magical flow? Well, it’s really all about your inner alignment. i am constantly telling my clients that success is an inner game. You need to have your ducks in a row internally and not shy away from the deep work that comes hand in hand with your wake up call to be all you can be. the deep work can sometimes be a bit yucky and feel very uncomfortable, but inside all of us is just a lonely, wounded child who want and needs to be loved and loving. So here are 3 quick tips to help you step into your very own flow:
1. Listen. Put simply if you are in ‘the drag’ you’re ignoring your inner voice and looking outside yourself for answers, and if you are in the flow you make time to honour and trust your own feelings and desires and impulses without making yourself wrong.
2. Stop. If you know you are in ‘the drag’ the only way to get out is to simply stop what you are doing. literally stop everything. Make some time and space to step back and really look at what’s not working. Some thing needs to change- what is it?
3. Ask. The consequences of being in the drag can be pretty murky and dark, we might be in a right old mess and really need some help to tidy it up. Get support and ask for help, you can’t do it all alone, so ask your seen and unseen supporters to help you see your path and move back into that space of grace where you can fly again. It’s ok, you can do it.

January 12, 2010
You will need- pen, paper, calendar, day book/timetable, list of all your upcoming dates/projects
Plot your calendar with what you know you are committed to for the year in pen
eg. Kilimanjaro climb, Isle of Wight Festival, Ellie’s Wedding
Then take your pencil and plot what you would like to do
eg. courses, training, trips, my own event
Make sure to mark out time off and holidays at the beginning of the year, you don’t have to know yet what you will do in that down time, just that it is marked out for you now.
Set your intentions and some bold goals about what 2010 is about for you.
KEY POINT: *Decide and commit to working in your Gift Zone*
Your Gift zone is the area where you use your unique talents, passions and experience to serve yourself and others by sharing yourself, love and time.
Ask yourself…”Who do I want to help most this year and why do I want to help them?”
Be very specific, and have a why that makes you totally excited and uplifted!
Value your time above all else- your time IS your life.
With that in mind list below some things you hate doing, stuff that wears you out, drains you, isn’t in your strengths at all or plain bores you -
i.e. Ironing
Chasing clients for payments
Scheduling appointments
Admin
Cleaning
Techy stuff- creating websites and adding shopping cart
Post and errands etc
You can outsource to a VA, who can handle admin,
A web technician- to set up your sites and payment gateways,
Writers if that isn’t your thing (try www.elance.com)
Find a local cleaner/house help
Along with a local student who wants to make a few extra pounds a week and will walk your dog or take stuff to the post office, do shopping, take in dry cleaning etc- anything you don’t love to do that is not best use of your time.
(Hint- Do you notice any feeling coming up here? resentment, guilt, shame, disbelief? If so, Can you identify it, feel it and ‘go into it’- you may need to momentarily exaggerate it to move through it- so if you feel guilt about not doing everything or hiring help- recognize and honour that feeling, and then ask yourself I you’d be willing to let that go if it means that you get to be all you can be. Heaven and Life want to support you in your mission, you are a leader and are allowed to ask for/receive help and support in all ways.)
(- Try posting on college/uni notice boards or on www.gumtree.com/craigslist or hire a PA who can come to your home and just keep on top of all the officey/organisation stuff.)
 Live in Your Gift Zone!
****There are people out there who just love to keep things organized and are really in their gift doing that kind of work- let them help you!****
You have to trust that the money you pay them will be re-couped as you work in your gift zone, just do it a step at a time.
Now list stuff you really want to do this year
Everything you can think of! This might include being great at your roles- as a mother, wife, friend, daughter. It might include business goals, humanitarian goals and personal health / lifestyle goals.
Review the list, and anything that is a ‘should’ or makes you feel heavier and not inspired/excited or not from love in your heart- simply cross off. Now ask yourself “What would I really love to do this year?”
Chunk it down to stuff you want to do this month
i.e. Get some more speaking gigs booked
Finalise details for retreats & schedule all clients
Book tickets for USA events & flights
Review applications for Pearl mentorship
Exercise daily
Join a yoga group
Tithe
Move
etc
Now to stuff you want to do this week (based on your monthly targets)
i.e. Find out about broadband in the new house
Book Fengshui consultant to organise & clear space in new house
Book cleaner to come weekly
Book Spa Day
Walk Ogilvy daily
VIP day Newport on Thurs
Share newsletter on Wednesday
Kilimanjoro Charity page launched
Email Lynne Twist about tithing
Finish 2010 planning
Get Ryan to do page and graphics
Send Trish gift & flowers to hospital
Each day you can block your tasks, so you have blocks of time- making your to do list fit into chunks
eg. Calls, Emails, Writing, Coaching, Planning, etc
This means that instead of darting around, a call here, an email there, and a blog post there -you are focusing on repetitive actions – which speeds up your productivity.
You might be working on 2 or 3 different projects, but you’d still do the calls in your calls time block…Make sense?
Think of it like a production line- in terms of grouping like tasks together, so you do all you calls at the same time, even if one is for project A, one is project B and one is the bank or whatever, like tasks go together. You can take an hour on a Sunday or Friday to plan your coming week.
Now look at your working week- decide what times would be best for you to do each of your chunks. Some chunks are daily, others weekly or monthly. Maybe your calls are bi-weekly, your coaching Tuesday and Thursday, your finances Friday, and writing mainly every fortnight~ or whatever.
Some of these tasks, like Email will be daily, but make a boundary by just doing email, say from 2-3 each day instead of it dominating your whole day- you can also have an assistant handle a lot of your email and you just see the stuff they forward to you, and they give you an update frequently.
Note: -
If you are doing your own email I wouldn’t recommend checking email first thing- use that time for something more creative like writing, sales copy or creating your next product, otherwise you can check email and start your day bogged down and purely responsive and reactive…. rather than channeling your time and energy towards your goals and priorities.
So, look at your to do list and group all the tasks and decide which chunk they are. Now, get your daybook and colour each time block a different colour. Then when it comes to the calls chunk you set your timer for however long you scheduled (I like 90 minutes) and do all your calls without interruptions.
Apply the same method to emails, writing, etc.
Final Tips
If you are thinking of outsourcing and building a good tram around you this year so you can play bigger and be more fully in your purpose then why not Manifest your ideal team with a brain dump of must/must nots for your PA, techy etc.
Finally- have your top wishes for the year written down on a piece of paper by your bed and review them first and last thing. (Big tip!)
Hope this helps- let me know your comments below!

My Soul Success Statement is
My version of true soul success is waking up each day and thanking my creator for my life. It’s being able to look in the mirror as I brush my teeth and love myself just the way I am. It’s sharing that love with every other being whether silently in my heart or through the vehicle of my business, expression or presence. Success is being here now, and accepting myself and others without judgement, blame, criticism or fear. Success in my life is being free to be who I am, speak my truth with love, and to give the best of me in all I do. I am success. I am love. I am abundance.
Today’s tip is all about what your best year ever really means
for you. Obviously the best year ever will be comprised of
the best months ever which are made of the best days ever.
So let’s start there- what does the perfect day look like?
If you haven’t considered that you may want to jot down
some ideas about what you think, do, say, contribute, experience
create and feel on your best day ever?
Yesterday we talked about crafting your ‘Purpose Punchline’
Today let’s nail your ‘Soul Success Statement’.
Many people define their success on stuff that, ultimately,
doesn’t fulfill us as human beings. If there is one thing I have
learnt in the last decade it’s that money doesn’t equal happiness,
money equals money- which is the oil for the engine of what we want
to do. Happiness= happiness whether rich or poor- but I digress…
Money is something for a whole different chat and I’ll
be discussing it more in depth tonight on my free “Abundance
& Success Teleclass” where you can learn my top 5 tips to
expanding your abundance- but for now I want to stay focussed and help you to
define what this next year, and decade is all about for you
personally.
This simple exercise to uncover your “Soul Success Statement” will
help you so much with setting your intentions and plans for 2010 because
it enables you to focus on what is really important for you and your Spirit.
So here’s where to start:
Grab a fresh piece of paper or a new doc and write your name and
then ‘The Best Of’ at the top. (hint- set your intention to experience a
breakthrough in doing this exercise!)
Underneath you’re going to create some lists that review the last
decade and prepare you for writing your very own Success Statement.
The first list is your top ten achievements in the last decade-
this might include things like getting married, having kids, qualifications,
initiatives- or you might choose to focus on your way of being and internal
victories that you have made or things you overcame and made you a better,
stronger person.
The second list is the top 10 things you learnt in the last decade
This is fun because you get to learn at the feet of the master that
is you (Like my friend Joan Ocean says- GURU= Gee, You Are You) So write
your ‘master list’
Finally, List 5 Things you did that made an impact and 5 thingsthat
made your heart sing in the last decade.
Optional extra- I also listed 3 things I would leave behind in the
noughties and 3 things I wouldn’t tolerate in the teenies. (Would you like to
see my lists? I have posted them on my blog and would love to see your lists if
they’ll go in the comment box- or simply email me!)
Now review these lists and take a look at your highlights. decide
what you want to see, do, be, experience more of and put it in your 2010
planner/calendar/ dream board.
Then you will have a good few ideas of what success means to you
and you’ll be able to create a Soul Success Statement that enables
you to experience success on your own terms every day.
Remember don’t compare yourself or your version of success to anyone
else’s- there are many flowers in the garden and all have
different purposes and unique beauty- Your version of success is
good enough…
And so are you- just as you are
I’d love to hear how you find this exercise, tommorrow I’ll share
the 2 biggest stumbling blocks and – paradoxically- areas of growth and strength
I’ve recognised in the last decade and I have a last big juicy tip for
you!
Meanhwile, write your ‘Soul Success Statement’ and ‘Purpose Punchline’
everywhere you can!
My Soul Success Statement:
My version of true soul success is waking up each day and thanking my creator
for my life. It’s being able to look in the mirror as I brush my teeth and love
myself just the way I am. It’s sharing that love with every other
being whether silently in my heart or through the vehicle
of my business, expression or presence. Success is being here now,
and accepting myself and others without judgement, blame, criticism or fear.
Success in my life is being free to be who I am, speak my truth with love,
and to give the best of me in all I do. I am success. I am love. I am abundance.

Here’s a quick exercise you can do to help you
ground your energy, set your boundaries and
create space.
Your energy belongs to you. As you stand,
the area above and around you as far as your
hands reach out to either side with your arms
outstretched is YOUR energy real estate.
So here is a simple, elemental energy exercise
to help you ground and clear your personalspace.
I share this with my clients and I’ve found that
despite its simplicity – this exercise is really
powerful and transformative.
You can do this exercise right now as it only takes
a few minutes and you’ll feel more centred, clear and
balanced. You will might feel a sense of empowerment and grounding.
Stand with your feet planted on the ground and follow these steps…
Imagine that you are standing on a clock face and infront of
you is 12 o’clock. Inhale deeply and hold your hands up
to your chest with your palms facing outwards.
Now exhale as if consciously pushing energy that is not
your own away from you and imagine your own energy
filling up the space- Like a displacement going on.
Repeat this exercise as you pivot round in a circle for
1 o’clock, 2 o’clock etc until you come back to 12.
I do this with my eyes shut. Sometimes I find that it’s
harder at certain numbers- my hand can seem to
encounter more pressure- and I expect this is part of
my field I am clearing out. Do this once a
day and observe how you feel- you may feel
a sense of amazing heat and a movement of energy.
TIPS for effective Energy field cleansing and grounding
- Set your intention. Keep your awareness on releasing
and re-claiming your own personal space
- Become aware of the wonderful feeling of being centred
and in the sun of your own being. To feel complete and
held in your energy field.
- Breathe deeply and consciously, using your outward breath
as you push out to remove unwanted enerhies from your field
- Congratulate yourself for accepting your love and
empowering your self
- Enjoy the feeling of creating your boundaries and creating space
for yourself.
- Love and nourish your energy and yourself and radiate that love!
Until next time,

You know that saying ‘you’re really flying’? Isn’t it great when you are in that space? Everyone has had glimpses of what it feels like when you feel like you are totally ‘on your game’ and everything is going well. Of course, as we all know in this World of contrast we also experience the lows aswell as the highs as part of life.
But if you have been feeling somehow ‘off’ your game recently and you want more than anything just to get into the flow again try these three tips to help you get back into your ‘zone’.
1 Assess your now:- take a look at your life and discover what is holding you back…Are you shaming some part of yourself that you actually need to embrace? is there some area where you just feel funky and don’t know why? What could be holding you back? Allow yourself to investigate honestly without judgement and just release what is not working- it’s ok to let go of what no longer serves you. This might involve some physical as well as energetic cleansing. You might decide to go on a detox, have a big clear out of your living space, or perhaps let go of people or habits that don’t match your vibration in the same way and stop you from being yourself. You don’t have to blame, feel ashamed or guilty… It’s O.K. to change! You may benefit from repeating the mantra ‘I am free, you are free’. Release all that you are not.
2. Go Within : Take some time to reflect, to be with yourself and hear your own song inside yourself. avoid harsh environments TV and negative people for a few days and put yourself in nature if possible. Perhaps you can visit a forest, the ocean or a mountain and find that inner sanctuary where you feel at peace. You may like to walk, work our, run, pray, meditate, journal- whatever you like to do when you tune in to your innate wisdom and the Divine knowledge within you. Once you are there ask about your direction, what you need and the best next step. Also check in and see what your heart needs and wants, you might want to put your hand over your heart whilst asking this. I have a special 5 minute heart meditation if you’d like to do a guided meditation.
3. Spread Your Wings : have the confidence and self-belief to live your fairytale life! As George Bernard Shaw said “Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.” So now that you have released the past enjoy stepping into your brightest future!
One final note:
When I work with clients in my mentoring and courses the thing I find over and over is that (women especially) fail to see how brilliant they truly are. i honestly believe that if some of my clients could just see themselves through my eyes forever they would never have any problems with self-worth, self-esteem or self-belief again. If you are having a hard time seeing your own strength, gifts, blessings or greatness do yourself a favour and ask a trusted friend, coach or partner to tell you what they see and admire in you. Just say “I know this sounds crazy, but I’m doing an exercise and I have to ask someone I trust to tell me how they see me and what my gifts and strengths are” I promise you will be blown away by the answers!
Until next time, sending you joy, love and wisdom xx

Huna Philosophy
I recently returned from a dream. A trip to Hawaii
to swim with wild dolphins and spend time learning
from them in their natural environment
Taking a trip to Hawaii for a few weeks I particularly loved discovering more about the
‘Huna Philosophy’ and way of life.
Turns out the Hawaiians had it sussed all along…
IKE:- The World Is What You Think It Is
Through your beliefs, expectations, desires, fears, judgements, interpretations, feelings, intentions and thoughts you create your version of reality. You are the writer, director, producer and star of your own movie and create every aspect of your unique individual experience.
KALA:- There Are No Limits
The only boundaries are illusory. You are unlimited. There is no separation between you and life you and others, you and nature, you and the table, you and God.
MAKIA:- Energy Flows Where Attention Goes
In other words “You get what you focus on.”
Where you dwell in thought, belief and emotion is what you are consciously or unconsciously giving power to, activating, and popping into your hologram.
MANAWA:- Now Is The Moment Of Power
Experiences from the past and worries or perceptions about the future are constructed by the mind. Sit in the present moment and know the power of NOW. You can not ‘be’ anywhere other than now. when you were in the past it was now, then. Be here, now, in this moment.
ALOHA:- To Love Is To Be Happy With
The essence of Aloha…the loving mutual exchange of joy in all relationships- with life, self, others, nature. Live with love, harmony and respect for all beings without judgement or comparison.
MANA:- All Power Comes From Within
It begins inside, it is not ‘out there’ but ‘in here.’ That which we preceive to have power over us only does so if we choose to give that such power.
PONO:- Effectiveness Is The Measure Of Truth
Rather than one absolute truth, let the results speak for themselves. If a concept, system, path or idea works for you then that is your truth. The very same system may not work for another, they must choose one appropriate to their aims. However, the aims will always reflect the means- so a happy undertaking with love will create a happy loving iutcome, whereas violent destructive means will ring about a violent destructive end.
Are you able to see how the Aloha Philosophy can work magic in your life? Beliefs are the fundamental basis for what we create in our lives- from cash to cancer… The job we undertake is to transform unhealthy beliefs that don’t serve us into supportive ones that will.
The Aloha Philosophy may unnerve individuals who dislike the idea that they really are fully responsible for everything in their experience, However these ideas can be incredibly empowering and freeing!
I recently returned from a dream trip to Hawaii where I swam with wild

dolphins and spend time learning from them in their natural environment. Imagine being in a pod of 80-100 wild dolphins just swimming in their slip stream moving with them in harmony and being in the energy of a community in harmony.
I loved observing them in the ocean, the baby dolphin calves nursing, the young adult dolphins playing and swimming right up to me, and big old grandaddy slowly, wisley taking his time at the back of the pod.
One thing I loved most about Hawaii was discovering more about the indigenous culture and wonderful ‘Huna Philosophy’ and way of life.
I think you’ll enjoy the parallels to what you may have already come across in your own reading and research into expanding our awareness and creative, loving human presence on Earth…
Turns out the Hawaiians had it sussed all along…

The Aloha Philosophy may unnerve individuals who dislike the idea that they really are fully responsible for everything in their experience, But this is so freeing for anyone ready to create a reality that they are happy with and is of their highest choosing, so I invite you to Create an Aloha Reality!
Sending you love, and a warm Aloha!

Over the last few years there were several times when I felt completely overwhelmed by challenges in my life.
I got into a state where I just wanted to give up – you know? Like it would be so much easier to just be ‘normal’, to live in a state of numbness and complacency and not have to do any ‘inner work’.
I have tried to ’settle down’ and ‘be normal’, I have tried to ‘put up’ and ’shut up’ , but I just cannot silence the voice inside my head telling me that now is not the time for that.
Now is the time to Wake up!
Now is the time to come alive!
I knew that in order to do what I needed to in life I would have to understand myself and others in a new way. I realised I would need a lot of compassion for myself and others whilst I was going through so many changes. But it was hard to do that when everyone else just seemed to be ‘getting on with it’ as normal, and I had no frame of reference for the massive process of transformation I had encountered.
That is why I created Bettermorphosis – to help others understand the conflict within, share the transformation I experienced, and to reach out to others who were also experiencing a sense that there life was about something more. Not just more money, or happiness, or even ‘love’ in the mainstream concept, but a sense of something much deeper, something sacred, eternal, and beautiful that I felt I had been shutting out for too long.
When writing my book, there were so many doubts in my mind, like: “who am I to tell people things about me and my life? I am not perfect, what do I know? I’m only young!” and “Maybe people are quite happy living as they are and really don’t want to know about my experiences and ideas.”
So I let this ‘caterpillar’ voice hold the stage for quite a long time, but here was also the butterfly part of me that was just bursting with inspiration, it would wake me up at 5 am to write, it would niggle at me constantly, and it felt like there was a massive internal conflict, my ‘knowing’ vs my ‘resistance’ to my self.
I was in the chrysalis.
That was even more confusing and challenging than being in the ‘caterpillar’ stage, because I felt so divided, confused and uncertain.
But, on a trip in San Francisco, one of my favourite parts of the world, an amazing piece of synchronicity happened:
As I was telling a great healer about my book this amazing butterfly just continued to stay with us for ages, until he landed on me, before flying off again. The healer laughed and said “Its a sign”
Since then there has been a number of other little messages and signs, all of which prompted me and urged me to keep going with this book.
It seems to me that we are only beginning to truly understand this phenomena some call ’synchronicity’ or ‘being in the flow’. More people are starting to accept the unseen world, and believe in what they may not be able to actually see, define, or explain.
It is not unusual to hear people talking about synchronicity, manifestation, higher selves, guidance and miracles.
Many of us are tuning into our inner knowing and are aware of how raising our level of consciousness and directing our focus can create fantastic and fulfilling life experience
But a conscious life, an aware life, is not always easy…
There will be times it seems easier to give up, to play the victim, and crawl back to the caterpillar comfort zone and life on the leaf.
There are many shifts happening within us and in our environment right now.
The world is changing and it is our challenge to meet these changes within ourselves, each other, and the world with love, compassion and understanding, rather than fear, judgement, and criticism.
Our success, our transformation, the point at which the chrysalis opens to us and the whole world becomes ours is when we go beyond…
Beyond our singular existence. Beyond ourselves. Beyond our ego. Beyond our fears. Beyond our ideas of what is possible and beyond limits or concepts we have created that no longer serve us.
It is when we expand, extend, and stretch ourselves that we succeed.
By breaking out of outdated paradigms, pushing boundaries, and putting ourselves outside of our comfort zones into new, uncharted territory. That is where magic begins for us.
That is when we become unstoppable!
We become more than that which we seem to an onlooker. More than our image. More than our body. More than our mind. We enter the realms of Spirit and transcend the levels of fear by reaching up above into love, service, and we can answer our highest calling.
A caterpillar already has everything needed for its transformation to a butterfly within it.
When it pupates It contains within it an image of what it will become.
I am sure that somewhere deep in our souls we too have this ‘knowing’
Do you have this image somewhere in your heart or mind?
Then I suggest you make it a priority to capture this- it is your key! Set it free. Draw it, write it, paint it sculpt it, mind map it – just express your true desire to
the universe and to yourself- then you will get the clarity you want.

Lately I have been thinking a lot about words.
Every time we speak we cast a spell, we ’sentence’ ourselves or someone else.
Lately I have been watching my words and become more aware of the words that exit my mouth and enter my ears and eyes.
I had a profound realisation…The ’saying’ is the bridge between ‘being’ and ‘doing’ -.
In other words, the thoughts we have are crystallised by the power of spoken or written word- and the ensuing behaviours and decisions result in our circumstances.
What words are you thinking, speaking and acting out today? “I am broke?” “I don’t have enough? (time, money, love)” What’s your poison, so to speak?
Here is my invitation, to accept your poweras a child of the Divine and co-creator by carefully choosing words that reflect your highest good and highest truth. Recognising the great power of the word will help you to bring into your life whatever your heart truly desires.
The more you speak, the more power you give those words- so choose with discernment and refrain from speaking from your fearful, ’small self’.
Think of Gandhi, who spoke himself to greatness through faith. I found this quote which speaks to this same idea of this trinity of thought, word and action
“Always aim at complete harmony of thought and word and deed. Always aim at purifying your thoughts and everything will be well.”
“Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.” Gandhi
Start your day with a ‘beingness’ ritual whether that is meditation, prayer, exercise – or a combination, whatever it takes to still your mind and centre you in the heart of your being.
Let that stillness be the place from which you speak, and watch how you and your World transform.
Your doing
Comes from
Your saying
Comes from
Your being
Be and rest in your silent greatness.
With love,
Katharine

Who says business can't be fun?
Is it possible for you to do something that you absolutely love, find easy and enjoyable and still be richly rewarded financially?
I believe the answer is YES, but then how come so many people are struggling along, either doing something they hate just to pay the bills or doing what they love but making a meagre living and scraping to get by?
Surely it would seem that doing what you love and getting paid are mutually exclusive, that is – if you want to be rich you have to work hard, and if you do what you love then you had better get used to the taste of maggi noodles…You can have one but not the other.
Yet more and more people are finding that this old-paradigm way of thinking about work and money is dissolving. The truth is that money comes easily when you are living in your greatest strengths, believing in your abilities and confronting your anxieties around receiving and/or asking for money for what you do. It’s almost though for something to be valuable it has to feel hard. Where did we get that crazy notion from? Somewhere along the line we learnt that unless it hurts we shouldn’t get well paid for doing it.
I can remember when I was 12 years old and desperate to stat working. I thought it would be so fun. My mum dropped me off in town one day and I went to my favourite hippy clothes shop called “Marmalade Moon” to ask for a job. They said I had timed it perfectly as someone had just quit and they were short staffed that day. They hired me on the spot. I worked all day and was paid 25 pounds, which was a fortune for a 12 year old. I was so happy when my mum picked me up that night. She laughed as I excitedly told her what had happened. I felt like a millionaire. I felt that money was easy to come by and working was fun.
That first experience probably set me up for life because I have always had a real passion for working and making money, but only in ventures that I truly enjoy and can put my heart and soul into. I want all my creativity and potential to be reached from a place of fulfilment, fun and purpose and believe sincerely that it is possible for us all to fulfil our individual unique purpose in a fun way! If you are in any doubt to whether or not that is the case just take a look at entrepreneurs like Richard Branson. (above in his birthday suit)
So don’t buy into the myth that you can’t do what you love and make a good living whilst you are at it… and if you are in a job you hate start opening up to alternatives that focus on your talents and abilities, life is too short to invest yourself in something that is not your highest excitement!
